Reunity Resources Farm Wedding Photographer — Santa Fe, New Mexico
Reunity Resources is a working farm on the northwest side of Santa Fe, and it offers something that most venue conversations in this market overlook entirely — an agricultural setting with real beauty and no pretense. Apple orchards, garden rows, mature evergreens, open meadow, and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains to the east. The property operates as a community farm and event space, and that dual purpose gives it an authenticity that purpose-built venues cannot replicate. When your ceremony backdrop is a row of fruit trees heavy with apples in September, you do not need an arch or an altar. The place speaks for itself.

Why I love shooting here
The light at Reunity moves through the property differently than it does at urban or hotel venues. The tree canopy creates dappled patterns in the morning. The open meadow catches full sun at midday. The orchards filter golden hour into something soft and layered. I can work a portrait session through three distinct lighting environments without leaving the property, and each one produces a different emotional register in the images.
The orchard portraits are the signature. Couples standing between rows of apple trees in late afternoon light, with fruit on the branches and the mountains visible through the gaps — that composition has a painterly quality that I have not found at any other Santa Fe venue. The trees create natural leading lines and framing, and the dappled light adds depth without complexity.
The garden and meadow areas give ceremony and reception photography a pastoral quality that reads as relaxed and intentional. Guests at Reunity tend to respond to the setting — they spread out, they breathe, they engage with the space. That translates into candid moments that feel natural rather than performed.

What to expect
Best season: Late August through October is the window. The orchards are producing, the gardens are at peak, and the light at this time of year in Santa Fe is warm and directional without being harsh. Early fall is the sweet spot — September weddings here benefit from comfortable temperatures, reliable weather, and the richest color on the property.
Ceremony options: Reunity works best for celebrations under 100. The property has several ceremony locations — the orchard, the meadow, and garden-adjacent clearings — each with a different character. This is not a venue with a single designated ceremony spot. You choose based on the time of day, the season, and the aesthetic you want.
Light and timing: The Sangre de Cristos are to the east, which means they catch morning light beautifully but do not factor into sunset compositions. Golden hour at Reunity is about the trees and the open western sky. For late afternoon ceremonies, position guests so the setting sun is behind and to the side of the photographer's position — this backlights the couple and gives the images warmth and depth.
Plan for an outdoor experience. Reunity is a farm. The ground is dirt and grass, the facilities are simple, and the experience is outdoors. This is its strength, not a limitation. Couples who choose this venue understand that, and their guests should too. Communicate footwear expectations and have a weather contingency plan, though most fall days in Santa Fe deliver.
Vendor coordination: Reunity works with outside catering and vendors, which gives you flexibility but also requires more advance coordination than a full-service venue. Build your vendor team early and do a site visit together.
