Corporate Photography That Doesn't Look Corporate

Most corporate photography looks like it was shot by someone who doesn't want to be there. Flat lighting, forced smiles, everyone standing in front of a step-and-repeat that nobody asked for. The images end up in a shared drive, get used once in a newsletter, and disappear.

That's not how I work. I shoot corporate events the same way I shoot weddings — documentary style, natural light when possible, real moments over staged ones. The difference is that the moments at a corporate event are different: the keynote that shifts the energy in the room, the handshake that seals a deal, the team photo where everyone's actually laughing instead of performing.

I'm based in Santa Fe and work throughout New Mexico, with Albuquerque being a significant part of my corporate photography calendar. The two cities are forty-five minutes apart, and most of my Albuquerque corporate clients book me because they want the quality of a dedicated photographer without the look and feel of stock photography.

What I Cover

Corporate Events

Ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, conferences, galas, retreats, product launches, and company milestones. I've shot events for real estate developers, tech companies, nonprofits, DMCs, and law firms. The approach is always the same: arrive early, understand the run of show, shoot everything that matters, and deliver images your marketing team can actually use.

The deliverables are practical. You get a curated gallery of individually edited images — typically 100-300 depending on the event length — with full usage rights. Fast turnaround is available when you need images for press releases or social media the next day.

Professional Headshots

Team headshots that look like the people in them. I shoot on-location at your office or at outdoor locations in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Natural light, simple backgrounds, minimal retouching. The goal is a headshot that looks professional without looking like it came from a studio chain.

For larger teams, I set up a headshot station and cycle through 10-15 people per hour. Everyone gets the same lighting and background consistency while maintaining individual personality. These sessions work well combined with a corporate event — shoot the event during the day, run headshots during breaks.

Brand Photography

If your company's visual identity relies on stock photos, your customers can tell. Brand photography gives you a library of images that are actually yours — your people, your workspace, your product, your culture. I work with restaurants, hotels, retail businesses, and service companies across New Mexico to build visual libraries that work across websites, social media, advertising, and print.

Retreats and Conferences

Albuquerque and Santa Fe are both significant retreat and conference destinations. The Convention Center downtown, the Hyatt Regency, Hotel Albuquerque, and dozens of boutique venues host corporate groups year-round. I've shot multi-day retreats, film festivals, tech conferences, and nonprofit galas across both cities.

For multi-day events, I offer half-day and full-day rates that make extended coverage practical. You don't need to choose between photographing the keynote or the team dinner — get both.

Why Albuquerque Companies Hire a Santa Fe-Based Photographer

Three reasons I hear most often:

Quality over convenience. The Albuquerque corporate photography market is smaller than you'd expect for a metro of 900,000. Companies that care about their visual identity tend to look beyond the immediate area, and Santa Fe — with its concentration of artists, photographers, and creative professionals — is the natural place to look.

Documentary approach. Most corporate photographers set up a tripod and wait for you to pose. I move through your event the way a photojournalist moves through a story — finding moments, anticipating action, staying out of the way while still getting the coverage you need. The resulting images feel alive instead of staged.

Consistency. When you hire the same photographer for your annual gala, your quarterly team headshots, and your product launches, your brand's visual identity develops a consistency that matters. I've built ongoing relationships with several Albuquerque organizations that book me for every major event.
